Ambient Scribe

Run live scribe sessions with real-time transcription and an AI copilot, then review drafted encounter notes.

Overview

Ambient Scribe documents visits from conversation. The clinician starts a session, talks with the patient as usual, and the scribe produces a live transcript and — after the visit — a structured encounter note ready for review. The encounter hub holds past visits alongside the option to start a new one.

Running a session

  1. 1

    Start a new visit

From the Ambient hub, choose Start New Visit. The session cockpit opens with a live waveform confirming audio capture.

  2. 2

    Talk normally

The transcript builds in real time. The AI copilot panel surfaces cards during the conversation — context worth knowing and items worth documenting.

  3. 3

    End the session

Recording stops and the note drafts itself from the transcript.

  4. 4

    Review and approve

Open the encounter, edit the drafted note where needed, and approve it. The transcript and audio stay attached.

Audio is captured in continuous segments and saved as you go — a dropped connection or closed tab doesn't lose the visit.

Tips for good notes

  • State medication names and dosages aloud — the transcript is the source.
  • Verbalize exam findings ("lungs clear bilaterally") rather than typing them elsewhere.
  • Review copilot cards during natural pauses; they're suggestions, not requirements.
