Overview
The Transportation scheduler manages patient rides end to end: scheduling on a calendar, grouping rides into driver routes, tracking each ride's status, and printing manifests for drivers. It serves medical centers and adult day care centers alike.
A typical day

Schedule rides
Add rides to the calendar directly or let appointments generate them. Each ride belongs to a patient and a date.

Generate routes
Group the day’s rides into driver routes. Geocoded patient addresses make the grouping geographic.

Print route lists
Each driver gets a printed manifest with pickups in order.

Update statuses
As the day unfolds, mark rides confirmed, own car, third-party, or cancelled — the calendar stays truthful.
Ride statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | The patient confirmed and is on a route. |
| Own car | The patient arranges their own transportation. |
| Third-party | An external service (e.g. rideshare) covers the trip. |
| Cancelled | The ride is off — the route updates accordingly. |
